Boathouse Cafe was born from a simple love — of good coffee, of Lake Hopatcong, and of the community that calls this lake home. We're a family-owned coffee house that believes the best moments in life happen around a table, with good people and great drinks in hand.
We opened our doors on the shores of Lake Hopatcong with a vision: to create a space where the pace of life slows down just a little. Where neighbors run into neighbors. Where families gather after a day on the water, friends meet for long-overdue catch-ups, and solo visitors always find a friendly face.
Our name honors the boathouses that dot this beautiful lake — shelters for the things that matter most. That's what we want Boathouse Cafe to be: a shelter from the rush, a place to dock after a long week, and a warm welcome every single time you walk through the door.
